QWeekly - Girlfriends tag, makeup stuff and my camera is suicidal

I don't know what kind of blog title is that.

This week was happening. I met the wedding videographer, i met Love Bonito for the bridesmaid dresses with Mich and then we went for dinner and then to wash and blow dry (for me) plus cut her hair. At some hair salon at Bugis. I camho super a lot in that salon cox the lighting damn good lol.

Another time maybe. Recently i have makeup on so much more often so i camho more, so much more until my camera maybe want to commit suicide.

"ENOUGH!!! I HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!!! I didn't sign up for this!!!"

"You're a camera!"

"Yes i am, but i am built for bigger things!!! My calling in life is to capture life's beautiful, memorable moments. NOT YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU!!!! YOUR FACE....." *gag*

"You sort of have a free trip to Japan, becox of me, you forgot?! Be thankful!"

"ERM, HOW ABOUT NO. I didn't get to sight-see even a single bit. Each time i open my eyes, it's you and your pouty duckface, and nowadays you do this squinty-eyes thing, YOU THINK CUTE?"

"Not too bad ah i find.."

Before i get married and then start to feel too 老成 for this kinda girly things. Lol. Wei, say real one i never did a tag video before. So please, make it fun for me!!! ^.^

Hopefully i'd be doing the video with Mich, Zhen and Gem. BUT. Cox this was a 突发奇想 thing, i just thought of it like now now, and only Mich is awake, so only she said yes lol. FAMEWHORE.

I haven't ask Zhen and Gem but let's assume they are doing it!

Gem - Office lady, soon to be something else (Not sure if i can say yet!!!)

Omg so happy we have met each other for 12 years. Known each other better for 9 years. Erm. Cox they never liked me back in secondary school days. Gem and Mich were both like part of the "school belle" league. I won't say they are the chioest cox there are other chioer ones lolol but they were quite popular among the guys lolol. Erxin.

And then Zhen had her own clique also that seems quite cool. And also Zhen was super good in maths suo yi and she sometimes wear this smart people specs, i thought she was quite cool.

Me ah. I don't want to say already =( Maybe do the video then say lol. Lolol.

Me on a light makeup day ^.^

Did i mention i started using better makeup and i clear out all my $1.20 lipstick, $5 BB cream and $5.90 foundation etc. Lol. Really is thanks to Wendy for all the nagging and she even got me this stick foundation thingy which is major love =D

And i went through this transition right before i go Japan and i am how happy please, becox usually with cheap makeup, it takes 45 minutes - 1 hour for the whole face to turn oily plus cakey O.O My lifestory before i started using better makeup lol.

Furry ball pen ^.^ Really love the mascara Mich introduced to me!

It's the Maybelline super film in yellow tube with red font one. It's not waterproof BUT surprisingly it's very lasting!!! Won't smudge even after whole day, won't get clumpy when you apply.

Also, the main reason i love it is, although it doesn't smudge through the day (which is usually only the case for very good and strong waterproof mascara), IT IS DAMN EASY TO REMOVE!!!!!

If not i one day de mascara can use over 3 - 4 days. Lololol. Cox i very lazy to remove with more effort than a makeup remover wipe =X My favourite is the Biore one so far for wipes. But i ran out of it and i keep forgetting to go get O.O I SHALL!!! And stop waking up to black batsai. Lolol.

Trying

Pass few days i've noticed a trend and i've been thinking..

Nobody cares about my makeupless pictures even when i think it looks quite chio sometimes. Lolol.

Okay maybe not chio, but like clean and pretty?

Okay maybe not clean cox of my dark eyerings and blemishes. But quite pretty?!

No?

Okay nevermind. My point is, i get a lot a lot more likes on Instagram (FOLLOW ME IF YOU HAVE YET TO, THANK YOU. I AM @bongqiuqiu) when i have makeup on, than when i don't.

So. I set a mark for myself to at least put on light makeup when going out with friends, boyfriend, and for meeting. Family leh.. I don't think need lah. Lol. Everytime meet family = Nua at my sister's home and play with baby Yurou anyway. Lol.

And i'm starting to do some skincare and haircare =X I know, "starting" sounds horrible for lady of my age. Lolol. I mean i did try to start from time to time, but every time it gets better i slack off.

I MUST MUST MUST put in double dedication now on to look chioer! ^.^

I mean now the most effort i put into is my teeth i guess. Lol. I brush them like at least 3 times a day.

Dude! I don't even shampoo daily!!! I shampoo like once every 3 - 4 days =X

Guess i have to shampoo at least alternate days now!!! I don't know, to treat my hair to more conditioner more often? Also, since i am not going back to my previous hair salon after the whole photoshoot incident..

So anyway, back to this whole "trying" phase in my life.

I ordered like 10 pairs of shoes (cox Wendy keep hiam-ing my slippers with bows lolol) and tonnes of necklaces and ear hook (cox i have no ear piercing O.O) and some clothes hopefully for a wardrobe change. I mean the style, not literately changing the wardrobe. You know, the physical wardrobe.

I guess you guys get it. So yeah, i wanna change my wardrobe!!! The last flea i cleared out all sorts of outfits that is in my beauty room that i won't wear, or doesn't fit me.

These days i hardly want to wear an outfit twice, if i know i'd be taking pictures. I just don't wanna appear on my blog with similar outfit too much? So i have this huge bag of clothes that belong to the "i worn once to snap pictures with, but i don't love it enough for it to make it to my cupboard" So yeah, it just sits there in my beauty room, in the bag, waiting for the next flea to come, for new owners to appreciate it.

Not like they are bad or anything. I just don't love them enough. Lolol.

Haha yeah i use it on the clothes. They take it pretty well.

And the stuff that makes it to my cupboard are not like super extra gorgeous and not necessarily much nicer than the ones that goes into the bag. They are just stuff i love and have a weak spot for. Lol.

Like tie dyes, comfy T-shirts, denim shorts, easy-matching cardigans, simple and comfy dresses that doesn't shrink to show my under butts after one wash. The recent Mary Julian stuff i got on Jipaban are all in my cupbaord now lol. Just so you have a better idea.

And talking about clothes that has good chance on making it into my cupboard,

I just received these three pieces from Jipaban. AND I LOVE THEM ^.^

Printed on lace details on a tank dress. Stretchable material so it's very comfy!!! =D

BEST PART? ONLY FREAKING $10!!! Used to be $20! Get it on Jipaban now!

If you want something dressy, this python printed top (comes in various colours) would be great!

Match it with a pencil skirt or a peplum skirt i think you're gonna look great already ^.^

Painted abstract jersey dress for..... $10 also!!! =___= Jipaban spoiling market for all online shops. Lololol. Really one!! The material is super comfy and stretchable also. Used to be $20 also!

You can pair it with a denim shirt like i did or just wear it alone with jeans.

Catching up

I realise i have a lot of stuff to catch up on blogging. I mean i don't exactly have to put them all down but every set of pictures help me remember things better and most of the time they are good things =)

And i don't trust my organising skill in the computer folders, as of now it's all so jumbled up i am not able to find anything i need to find if it's not in the main folder. But that's cox no one gets to see it.

But my blog is different =D Got people see one. So i have to organise the pictures nicely ^.^

Nothing much to organise anyway, it's just sets of pictures that's sort of overdue! My overdue means like maybe 2 - 3 weeks late. Lol. Not as badass as Yutaki and Wendy lolol.

SOMEHOW, all the short and young ones stood together so i told them to stand properly in a row. Lolol. My dad's in his mid sixties, my sis is in her early thirties and Bong is 12, Naoki is 10.

Had filming with TV9 a Malaysia TV channel with Hanis and like really quite last minute the crew ask to film something unique about our fashion scene that can only be found in Singapore.

So of course i think of Haji Lane right. Cox all the unique and private labels are there.

And then i asked on Twitter for contacts, where everyone's sooooo helpful and Nat introduced me to Keith and OMG SO HAPPY KEITH WAS WILLING TO HELP!!!

If you remember a few posts back i was raving about how Keith was sooooo helpful and nice right.

Now pictures!!! Sorry for all the backlog! But hey, at least it's here now~ Haha ^.^

Can you believe it?! I am standing next to someone who styled international and local SUPERSTARS!!! He styled like Fann Wong, Zoe Tay, Zhang Ziyi OMG and Lin Zhi Ling!!!!!!!!!

And he was the one who designed and made Wendy's gorgeous ROM dress!!!! =DDD

I feel like a celebrity just standing next to him hahaha. And dude, my dress nice or not ^.^

I bought it from Hide&Seek one yo =DDD Yeah Keith is the man and brain behind Hide&Seek and as much as i am now at this stage of trying to accept more black into my life, when i wore that dress i was like.. "Omg 我很美 leh!" It's first reaction, i couldn't help it lolol. The cutting and all is just pretty lah!

QWeekly - The week i learnt how to put on contact lens

This week's been really really super fun! =DDD

For starters i have Cheesie staying over at my place for 3D2N lol. And then Yutaki, Wendy, Sophie, Huiwen, Alaric and Mike all came to my place so imagine the crowd! Lolol. It's just.. Hmm..

I don't really get guest at all *go one corner draw circles on wall with finger* Lol.

And i am sorry, i TRY not to be a lazyass instgram blogger!!! Lolol. But really i never whip out my camera and it's all quite casual so only got iPhone pictures!

Brought her to try bonchon wings. Lol. Actually is i wanna eat also lah.

At my place, one of the agenda is to teach me how to put on contact lens!!! =OOOO

God knows this is one of my greatest fear =.= I know. You think i am hum. But real one i got traumatised before!!! I tried to put on in a optical shop. Took me 45 mins - 1 hour to put in. And that's after i piss off the opticians and Josh =( And then i also piss off at them back cox they lost patience with me lolol. So it was just a very unhappy experience!

NEVERMIND. Took me another 30 minutes + 20 minutes break + another 30 minutes like that of trying and trying and trying to remove it from my eyes. Cox it makes me giddy + gives me headache! I was prescribed the wrong degree i think O.o Like 2 years later i go do spectables and my degree was only 50, 75. The contact lens i was told to wear on my first time was 100 and 125 @___@

Anyway!!! After the Japan trip i feel like OMG cannot, no contact lens really is lose to people one. Lolol. But i just didn't get down to learning lah! Mostly cox i am scared and also cox i don't think i can find anybody patient enough to guide me along given my last experience =(

BUT!!! Wendy super enthu and keep urging me plus so many people encouraging me that night so MIGHT AS WELL!!!!! =DDD WO HUO CHU QU LE!!!!!! Lolol.

Me and Wendy (the best guest i can ever have who threaten to pee on my couch LOL cox i refuse to let them use the master bedroom toilet) chilling while waiting for the rest to come ^.^

I thought Josh was taking pictures when i was putting in the contact lens but then later realise he's taking video lol.

After censoring all the doot-able languages here's the video of me putting in contact lens.

The main point is not me, the main point is you really need to hear what they say!!!

ALL words of wisdom for noobies like me or for people who want to wear contact lens but just don't dare to or don't know how to. I am soooo gonna be eternally grateful to them all! =DDD

Wendy say i can be chioer by 10 - 30% maybe, if i start wearing contact lens =DDD

And then the other day Wendy and Yutaki and Sophie celebrated my birthday with me ^.^ i is very happy!!! Sophie even got me a cake =DDD And then Wendy got me a HnM giftcard cox we were going shopping there =DDD And they all treated me to dinner ^.^ Wo zhen de hen kai xin!!!

We had some kind of competition going on to see who shoot Yutaki the best. Now we just have to wait 10 years for Yutaki to post up the pictures. LOL.

Some wedding preperation update!

I met my wedding cake sponsor ^.^ Will share more about the cake sponsor but for now i really really really wanna shout a BIG FAT THANK YOU!!!!!! To my wedding planners Clarice and Shikin from Eternally Yours!!! They are so nice to accompany me to every meeting!

Every single meeting they plan nicely for me according to my timing and schedule and seriously Clarice always has it all sort out before i could even think about it and before i even worry about it.

The cake sponsor is they introduce to me one! And oh yes, live band music and videography sponsor!!! Also Clarice and Shikin help me find one!!! I don't know how i can thank them enough!

Really gotta thank Wendy for introducing Eternally Yours to me for a start!!! =DDD They say sharing doubles all the goodness! Wendy probably doesn't know but i am VERY thankful for that!!

Everytime i meet Clarice or get an email for her, i always feel very excited!!! Cox it's very systematic and everything is moving forward like this!!! Like she's bringing me one step by one step closer to my wedding. Yeah, i talk to Clarice more about the wedding than i do, to Josh lolol.

And like during the cake meeting, Clarice printed out really beautiful wedding cake inspirations and designs etc, to discuss it with me and Josh and the pastry chef. And during our chocolate tasting session for wedding favour, i was all like "OKAY OKAY!" cox too overwhelmed by chocolates but Clarice would be asking all the right questions like what mixture of flavours do i want, and how i want the customisation part to be, printed on rice paper or piped with white chocolate etc.

She just knows so well what she's doing and really take note of all the small minute details and prevent anything that might crop up =)) She probably think she's just doing her job but when i see her scribbling and scribbling in her notebook i just want to tell her THANK YOU CLARICEEEE!!!

Haha but that'd be too much for her to take lolol. Don't wanna freak her out at this point of time i still need her to help me with a lot of things!!! It's like, i don't know how brides do it without a wedding planner. I really cannot even though i don't have a 9-5 'proper' job where i have to set aside a good half of my time awake at work. I everyday own time own target, yet i STILL have problem trying to juggle wedding stuff, blogging, social life and filming.

Did you know i ask to stop Budget Barbie filming for half of June cox i just had too much on my plate for a short while. Like with all the June happenings, birthdays, Japan trip and the blogging after, even my small role in the movie took up 3 days to film in June.

I know i am rambling already but i am just really thankful there are people from Eternally Yours helping me out with the wedding thing!!! Even though sometimes they don't have to be there, they will make it there somehow just to know EVERYTHING about my wedding =))) I think this is some serious work dedication!!!

And they have all the connections to the best wedding-related services you'd need lor. Like so far they introduced videography, tier cake, live band music and is helping me source out all the ideal places for wedding! Best is, if you want THE BEST, they know who. If you want THE MOST AFFORDABLE with decent work, they also know who. Lol.

So i conclude, having a wedding planner is crucial!!! They know all the where, who, what, hows to wedding! And they can do all the worrying for you lol. Best. Especially so if you have a budget, the wedding planners will help you plan everything within the allocated sum =D

If you need really dedicated wedding planning services for your wedding no matter if you're half way through planning or if you're just starting to plan, i recommend Eternally Yours.

Don't go crazy over all the planning! I think wedding and the whole process of it is supposed to be enjoyable and fun and happy lah! Having a good wedding planner is like having a good girlfriend helping you oversee everything. Like she has your back on wedding day ^.^

We are still deciding on which restaurant to hold the wedding at. I am not gan jeong at all leh. But Clarice has already contacted many hotels/ restaurants to get their pricing packages for me and to help me sort them out into different budget and styles of the restaurants etc O.O She make me feel a bit guilty that she is working harder than me for my wedding.

So yup~ Next i will decide on the venue and then next.. I don't know what's next but i'm sure Clarice will inform me lol. I only know that i have to go do some aesthetic procedure around September? To my face!!! =_="
